Masuda Announces Town Hall Tour & Challenges McClintock to Debate

“We’re taking this campaign back on the road to every corner of the district. The doors are open to anyone, regardless of party to come and ask questions.

I’ve also sent a direct invite to Tom McClintock. Let's debate. Any format, any moderator, hosted jointly by our campaigns or by a neutral organization in the district. A newspaper, a chamber of commerce, a college, a farm bureau, or join us at any of our town halls.Take your pick. We’re happy to show you how a town hall is supposed to work. 

Tom hasn't done that in years. Only recently has he made appearances in parts of the newly drawn CA5, which he doesn’t currently represent. However, he has not had a public appearance with his current constituents in CA5 since 2017. His recent town hall in Alpine County was done using taxpayer dollars and a career politician should not be making mistakes like that. 

I don't think that's a lot to ask. This job is a public trust. The people who fund it and live under it have earned a couple of hours of your time and straight answers."
